She was next seen in the spin-off “Victoria” (2007-2008), “In the Name of Love” (2008-2009), and “Triunfo del Amor” (2010-2011). Then, she landed the lead female role of Refugio Chavero in the long-running series “Crown of Tears”, and from 2012 through 2023, Veronica was seen in 222 episodes of this drama about a woman forced to raise her sons by herself.

After her divorce from Eugenio, Victoria found love once again. She married Omar Fayad Meneses, a Mexican politician and businessman, exchanging their wedding vows on 9 March 2001. Together, they have two children, twins, a daughter named Victoria Fayad Ruffo, and a son named Anuar Fayad Ruffo, who were born on 11 August 2004.
As of August 2023, Victoria is still married to Omar. He served as a senator of the state Hidalgo, and was the Governor of Hidalgo from 2016 to 2022. He is now the Mayor of Pachuca, Hidalgo, and Victoria is the president of Integral Family Development in that city.
