The Wealth of Christi Paul
How rich is Christi Paul? As of late-2018, sources inform us of a net worth that is over $3 million, earned through a successful career in broadcast journalism. She’s received several honors over the course of her career, and as she continues her endeavors, it is also expected that her wealth will continue to increase.
Early Life, Education, and Career Beginnings
Christi grew up in Bellevue, but nothing else is known about her childhood, except that she developed an interest in broadcasting, and after matriculating from high school, enrolled at the University of Toledo to study broadcast journalism. During her time in the university, she competed in several pageants, and won the Miss Manfield (Ohio) pageant, leading her to another win in the Miss Greater Cleveland pageant. She also competed at the Miss Ohio pageant in 1993, and was the third runner-up. After graduating, she began her career in Clarksburg, West Virginia with the television station WDTV, as a reporter, photographer, news anchor, and photographer, as it is common for employees to serve multiple roles with smaller companies. She then moved to the Phoenix, Arizona-based CNN affiliate KTVK, as a consumer reporter and anchor.
HLN and CNN
Paul then moved briefly to the ABC affiliate KNXV also located in Phoenix, working as a weathercaster and as a news anchor, before again moving, to the NBC affiliate KTVB, this time located in Boise, Idaho mainly in the same capacity as a reporter and anchor, but including some production work too. During this time, she was honored by the Idaho Press Club for her coverage of Julianne Prudhomme, a young girl who underwent a five-organ transplant. Eventually, her experience would lead her to be hired by Headline News – HLN – which is owned by parent company CNN, as a weekday anchor for the network, covering various topics including sports, entertainment, national news, and business.
She joined the network in 2003, and her work with HLN also opened doors for her to work with CNN, assigned as a weekend anchor, and working on the weekend edition of the program “New Day” named “New Day Saturday” and “New Day Sunday”, which airs early in the morning, and follows a similar structure to most CNN programs reporting on news and other topics of interest.
Coverage and Other Projects
Christi’s work with CNN allowed her to cover numerous high profile events, including the second inauguration of President Barack Obama. She also covered the first hours of several school shootings, at Virginia Tech and the Newtown CT school. She did extensive coverage of Hurricane Sandy and its aftermath, and other reports she’s done include coverage of presidential elections and high profile court cases, such as of Drew Peterson, Warren Jeffs and Dr. Conrad Murray, to name a few.

Two years later, she performed the national anthem in a National Hockey League (NHL) game between the Atlanta Thrashers and Colorado Avalanche, and her voice can also be heard at Skyview Atlanta, the area surrounding the Ferris wheel built near the Centennial Olympic Park.
In 2012, she authored her first book entitled “Love Isn’t Supposed to Hurt”. All of these achievements have had a hand in increasing her net worth.
