As a result, right after high school he moved to Sarasota, Florida, where he enrolled at the Ringling College of Art and Design.

Following his successful completion of college studies, David fulfilled his dream and found a spot for himself at Disney. Unfortunately, he was laid-off by the company, and soon afterwards started his own company, Bromstad Studio, which focused on designing children`s fantasy bedrooms. He auditioned for “Design Star”, a competition show of which he was subsequently named the winner, and as a prize he was given his own show, and also received a car from the network.
