Who is Lisa Villegas?
Lisa was born in Pittsburg, Texas USA in 1988; while the exact date of her birth is not known, she is from a Latino family and is best known for being a weather forecast girl, having gained most of her fame while working for CBS 11 station.
Early life and education
There is not much known about Lisa’s early life, as she doesn’t talk about her parents or her siblings either, but mentioned in one of her interviews that she grew up with her siblings. She says that she spent her entire childhood in Texas, and spent a lot of time outdoors which she is grateful for, as she loves nature and being out in the open. Lisa attended and matriculated from high school where she was voted as homecoming queen, then went on to attend Kaplan College in San Antonio, and was one of the cheerleaders there. She was already interested in journalism and began working at local stations which was a part of her curriculum. She went on to study at Embrey Riddle Aeronautical University, and got her bachelor’s degree in meteorology in 2010.
Career
Lisa began work full-time for the TV station KRGV-TV, based in the Rio Grande Valley metropolitan area and is an ABC affiliate – the channel can be seen on DirecTV and Charter Spectrum – so she had to move to work for it but she didn’t mind it as she became more experienced in the field of meteorology. She left KRGV-TV after she was offered a place at CBS 11 KHOU, which she accepted in order to be close to her hometown as it is based near Houston. This particular network is not owned by CBS directly, but is considered to be the second biggest CBS affiliate, right behind Atlanta – both of these stations are owned by Tegna Inc. Company. In 2011, out of the blue, the station announced that Lisa was no longer going to work for them as she had found herself a new job.
She is currently working as the Chief Meteorologist on KOLD/KMSB-TV network, where she started in October 2017.

Lisa is one of those people who want to keep their personal life to themselves, and there is therefore not much known about any romantic relationships. Controversy
Stations usually choose hot and attractive girls to work as meteorologists for a good reason. However, some people claimed that Lisa crossed the line when she allegedly dressed rather provocatively, which did not respect the stations’ standards for reporters. Some rumors say that she was fired from CBS 11 because of some photos which she posted on her social media accounts, and were considered to be ‘too sexy’ by the executives. Lisa is said to have gone out with her two best friends and was wearing a low cut mini dress which was a very tight fit, and posted the pictures of that night on her Instagram account, and as soon as the executives saw them, they contacted her and asked her to remove the photos as they went against the station’s image. It took Lisa two days to remove the photos but all of these things caused tension between her and the executives which eventually led to her leaving the network.
The CBS station already had some controversies following their work, including when Feds sued them for age discrimination when they hired a TV traffic reporter.
Philanthropy and volunteering
Although she doesn’t have much free time, Lisa never misses events such as United Way’s Days of Caring – she attended the event on 19th and 20th October 2018 and they cleaned considerable trash from several public locations, planted new trees and also had fun – the event took place in Tucson in Southern Arizona.
