Nischelle grew up in Columbia, and after matriculating from high school enrolled into the University of Missouri, becoming a part of its journalism program. She graduated in 1998, and then started working for the ABC affiliate WEHT located in Evansville, Indiana. After her tenure there, she moved to New Orleans to work with the FOX affiliate WVUE.

In 2004, she was then hired by KTTV Fox 11 as a general assignment reporter, which she did for the next four years while also working on sports broadcasts, serving as a sideline reporter for the FOX Sunday NFL broadcasts. She also did segments for the show called “Dailies”. After her run with KTTV, she then became an entertainment correspondent for the Los Angeles based station KNBC, working with high profile broadcast personalities including analysts Torry Holt and Kurt Warner. Recent Career

Eventually, Turner moved from KNBC to join HLN, which hired her to be the entertainment correspondent of the show “Showbiz Tonight”. The program debated celebrity entertainment news and controversies, at times involving audience interaction through the use of social media as well as through phone calls. The program aired on Mondays with an encore presentation on Tuesday through Saturdays, and was also broadcast in Europe, hosted by AJ Hammer before its cancellation.  While working on “Showbiz Tonight”, Turner also worked covering entertainment news with CNN.

One of her recent posts is with the show “Entertainment Tonight”, on which she was announced as a replacement for Rocsi Diaz in 2014. The show, often referred to as “ET”, airs on CBS and is composed of various stories of interest throughout the entertainment industry, including interviews with actors, musician, and other personalities.
