Pete is quite secretive when it comes to his personal matters, as he hasn’t shared any details of his childhood years with the public. He also hasn’t talked about his parents, except that it appears that Pete might be an only child.
Pete grew up playing video games thanks to his father who liked such games as well – the first console Pete ever tried was his father’s ColecoVision which most people don’t even remember anymore. It was love at first try between Pete and video games, and he hasn’t stopped playing since then – his mother and father would even get mad at him because he didn’t want to go to school, but only wanted to stay home and play. Well, Pete had to go to school but he spent most of his free time playing video games rather than sports or spending some quality time with his peers. After he matriculated from high school, Pete decided to pursue a career online, and didn’t enroll at college.
Career of a Youtuber
Pete’s career was launched on 17 October 2006, when he uploaded his first video onto his YouTube channel entitled “PeteDorr” – the description of his channel reads ‘My hobby is playing and collecting Classic to Modern games and Memorabilia. I believe it’s all about the games and not the hardware we play them on. On my channel you will find Reviews, Collection Updates, and General Video Game talk.’ The channel doesn’t have as many subscribers as one would think after Pete running it for nearly 13 now – it is currently subscribed to by more than 110,000 people and counts over 23.3 million views of all his videos combined.
At first, Pete was mostly uploading “Let’s Play” videos, which means that he would play a game while talking about it, record himself, and put the video on his channel. Most of the videos he uploaded in the beginning were focused on his favorite game – “The Legend of Zelda” – he uploaded videos which showed his great skills, and offered advice to people, showing them how to do several things in the game. After a while he became bored with doing only that, and began doing speedruns, which is when you try to finish a game as quickly as you can, and started making lists such as the last video he uploaded entitled “My Top 10 Favorite Consoles of All-Time”.
Pete was also quite active on Twitch, and he is said to have had a large number of followers on the platform, however, for unknown reasons, he appears to have not only stopped livestreaming, but has also deleted his account.

During one of his videos, a female voice could have been heard close to him, which made people believe that Pete is married or has a girlfriend, because they already knew that he doesn’t have roommates. They started asking the popular YouTuber about this, but just as before, Pete hasn’t responded to any of their questions.

Pete’s favorite hobby is also his job – playing video games – and his favorite video games of all-time are “The Legend of Zelda” and “Donkey Kong Jr.” Although he grew up playing video games and did not even want to leave his house, this has changed over the course of years, and he now loves to spend his free time outdoors, and often visits gaming events including GameCons and such.
