The Wealth of Jenna Marbles
How rich is Jenna Marbles? As of mid-2018, sources estimate a net worth that is over $5 million, mostly earned through a successful career on YouTube, but leading to numerous other opportunities, so that she has a wax figure of herself displayed in Madame Tussauds Museum, is the first social media star to be so honored. As she continues her career, it is expected that her wealth will also continue to increase.
Early Life, Education, and Career Beginnings
She initially began her career as a writer for the female counterpart of Barstool Sports called StoolLaLa, but actually worked multiple jobs, such as bartending, working in a tanning salon, blogging, and also go-go dancing at nightclubs, managing to earn enough money to rent a shared $800 three-bedroom apartment in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In 2010, she decided to post her first YouTube video “How to Trick People Into Thinking You’re Good Looking”, attracting over five million views in its first week, effectively launching her YouTube channel.
The following year, Marbles launched another video entitled “How To Avoid Talking To People You Don’t Want To” which became popular, accumulating millions of views as well – this was when she changed her name to reflect her current pseudonym – “Jenna Marbles” – after complaints by her mother that Jenna’s videos might give the wrong impression to potential employment being sought out by her mom; she took the name Marbles from her dog Mr. Marbles. Her popularity continued to skyrocket over the next few years.
Due to her online popularity, she’s collaborated with a lot of other YouTubers and has been featured in other channels as well. She appeared in the second season of “Epic Rap Battles of History”, and even voiced the banana in one of “The Annoying Orange” episodes, and made an appearance in the fourth season of “Ridiculousness”. Aside from these, she continued to venture further into acting work, and appeared as herself in “Smosh: The Movie”. Due to how big her business was becoming, she decided to bring people in to help, and has hired a business manager, a personal assistant, and her mother as a Chief Executive Officer.

She now hosts a radio program on SiriusXM Hits 1 entitled “YouTube 15”, which is a weekly pop countdown show, and also hosts the weekly podcast entitled “The Jenna Julien Podcast”, which features her boyfriend Julien Solomita, plus other Youtubers as guests, and they often talk about stories going up, YouTube and conspiracy theories, among other topics. In 2016, she became the executive producer of “Maximum Ride”, a film based on a series of novels created by James Patterson.
Thanks to her work, Jenna won a Young Hollywood Award for Viral Superstar in 2014. She’s also been nominated three times for a Streamy Award in different categories.
