YouTube Career
The following year, Marbles launched another video entitled “How To Avoid Talking To People You Don’t Want To” which became popular, accumulating millions of views as well – this was when she changed her name to reflect her current pseudonym – “Jenna Marbles” – after complaints by her mother that Jenna’s videos might give the wrong impression to potential employment being sought out by her mom; she took the name Marbles from her dog Mr. Marbles. Her popularity continued to skyrocket over the next few years.
Due to her online popularity, she’s collaborated with a lot of other YouTubers and has been featured in other channels as well. She appeared in the second season of “Epic Rap Battles of History”, and even voiced the banana in one of “The Annoying Orange” episodes, and made an appearance in the fourth season of “Ridiculousness”. Aside from these, she continued to venture further into acting work, and appeared as herself in “Smosh: The Movie”. Due to how big her business was becoming, she decided to bring people in to help, and has hired a business manager, a personal assistant, and her mother as a Chief Executive Officer.
