He’s appeared in 86 movies and TV series, and is perhaps known best for starring as Andre Allen in the 2014 romantic comedy movie “Top Five”, which he also wrote and directed, and which co-starred Rosario Dawson and Gabrielle Union. It follows a comedian as he’s trying to become a serious actor, and the movie won five of its 26 award nominations.

Chris was raised in New York City alongside his younger sister and five younger brothers, by their father Julies who was a newspaper deliveryman and truck driver, and who died after ulcer surgery in 1988, and mother Rosalie (nee Tingman) who was a teacher and social worker.
