Who’s actress Christa Miller?
Born Christa Beatrice Miller on the 28th May 1964 in New York City, USA, she is an actress and comedian, perhaps best known to the world as Kate O’Brien in the TV comedy series “The Drew Carey Show” (1995-2004), and as Jordan Sullivan in the TV comedy-drama series “Scrubs” (2001-2010), while she is also recognized as Ellie Torres in the TV comedy series “Cougar Town” (2009-2015).
Early Life, Family, and Education
Career Beginnings
Christa was actually thrown into show business from an early age; even before she was a year old, her career started as she was a star of the Wonder Bread commercial. When she was three, Christa posed for Francesco Scavullo in an Ivory soap advertisement, and was also photographed for the cover of Redbook. Unfortunately, her early career was put on hold when she was diagnosed with a benign bone tumor, but an operation made her healthy again, although she didn’t return to the entertainment world until she had finished high school.
Acting Career
“The Drew Carey Show”
She auditioned for “The Drew Carey Show”, but the producers first thought of her as too inexperienced, however, with the help of Larry David, she got the part of Kate O’Brien, portraying the character from 1995 until 2002, appearing in over 180 episodes of the highly-acclaimed series, which really jump-started her career, and new successful roles came her way.
Continual Success
In 1999 Christa portrayed Kathy in the award-winning romantic comedy film “Smiling Fish & Goat on Fire”, starring Derick Martini, Steven Martini and Amy Hathaway, while in 2001 her now husband Bill Lawrence chose her for the part of Jordan Sullivan in the TV series “Scrubs” (2001-2010), which he created. In 2009, the two decided to work together again, this time on the TV series “Cougar Town” (2009-2015), but since which Christa has been focused more on her family life than her professional career, and has appeared only in a couple more titles, such as the comedy-drama film “Hot Air” in 2016, and the thriller film “Breaking In”, which came out in May 2018.
Do You Know How Rich Christa Miller Is?
Though her career started just six months after her birth, she well-managed all the stress that success brings and has enjoyed her life of relative stardom and luxury. Her net worth is now estimated at over $20 million, while she and her husband own a 2,693 square feet condo in Manhattan, valued at $7.55 million.
Life Behind the Scene
Since 1999, Christa has been married to screenwriter, producer and director Bill Lawrence; the couple has three children together.
Internet Popularity
Since becoming rather famous on TV and film, Christa has managed to expand her popularity to social media networks, primarily Twitter and Instagram. Her official Twitter account has 120,000 followers, on which she has shared some of her most interesting details from both her personal and professional lives with her most loyal fans.
