Tim Curry’s Childhood
Curry spent most of his time growing up in Plymouth, Devon, but later on moved to South London after his father’s death. He went to Kingswood School in Bath, Somerset, where he discovered his talent in singing. He later on pursued a degree in English and Drama at University of Birmingham where he discovered his passion for acting and graduated in 1968.

In 1973, Curry’s big break in his career came when he got to play the role of Dr. Frank-N-Furter in the London stage production of “The Rocky Horror Show.” The musical comedy became a huge hit and has created a cult following. It’s success also made its way into Broadway and even a movie version entitled “The Rocky Horror Picture Show.” His portrayal of the outlandish transvestite Dr. Frank-N-Furter helped further his career into new heights and the success of the musical also increased his net worth.
After the success of “The Rocky Horror Show”, Curry continued acting both on stage and screen. Other notable projects that he did in the ‘90s include “The Three Musketeers” and “Muppet Treasure Island.” He also lent his voice in the movies “Sonic the Hedgehog” and “The Rugrats Movie.”
During the 2000’s, Curry continued to be active in acting appearing in the movie “Charlie’s Angels”, and the stage production of “Spamalot.
