Early Life and Online Beginnings
Very little is known about Ashley’s life before her online fame, as there are no details regarding her family, childhood and education, except that she is of African American descent, though no details have been shared about her parents.
Growing-up, she became very interested in music, particularly in rap, and wanted to make it big in the industry. In 2012, she decided to bring her music online and started releasing music for the public to hear, eventually through her account on Instagram which contributed to her rise to fame. Instagram is a photo and video service which allows its users to post these types of content to the public, or to pre-approved followers through its own network. The website can be integrated to other services such as Facebook which owns Instagram. Since its inception in 2010, it has become one of the most popular social networking services in the world, with over 500 million active users daily, and over a billion registered users.
Increasing Social Media Presence and Music Releases
Aside from her Instagram account, Ash also developed a strong following on YouNow, which is a live broadcasting service that allows users to start their own live video stream which can be viewed by others. Users can interact with each other, and Ashley used this platform to help promote her music. She also earned fame through Snapchat, a messaging app which has close to 200 million active users, and allows users to share messages or photos with each other for a short period of time.
As her music endeavors grew, she started working for Kreative Kollective, a branding agency that helped her develop her presence online. She then signed with the label Big House Publishing, and released the single entitled “Letting You Go” in 2015, which increased her fame significantly as the song became a hit. She also released the track “Model Walk Swag” which would continue the development of her career, and also worked on singles such as “Poppin’”, “Letting You Go”, and “Money”. One of her latest projects is the single “Trabajar”, which she has been promoting online through a challenge contest; the contest winner will get a chance to travel with her to Miami on a three day trip.
Grand Larceny
In 2018, Ashley was arrested in New York City on charges of grand larceny, after being accused of promising her social media followers some fast money in exchange for their bank information. According to reports, she began posting photos showcasing her holding huge amounts of money, and then promising her followers that they could earn that amount of money too. She worked with five others to forge checks, and began withdrawing cash using the victims’ bank information.
They allegedly deposited at least 52 fraudulent checks, which added up to $62,550 in bank fraud. The scheme is known as card cracking in which people with a large following on Snapchat and other platforms lure people in with photos of money and luxury items. The alleged fraud took place sometime the previous year – she pleaded not guilty to the charges, and the case is as yet unresolved. She and her label have refused to comment on the issue.

Personal Life and Social Media
She has had boyfriends before, and posted photos of herself alongside fellow rap artists, though has not been romantically associated with any of them. Sources state that she is currently single.
She has over 78,000 followers on Instagram on which she promotes her music, while also posting about some of her day to day endeavors. She travels and goes to various events, and also loves spending time at various locations such as beaches, where she does a lot of photo shoots. She also posts a lot of videos featuring her “Trabajar” challenge contest. Her Facebook and Twitter accounts are no longer active following the accusations of credit card cracking in her name; the accounts still have posts about the scheme dating back to 2014, and photos apparently proving that it was her account, though there are inconsistencies with the dates. She seems to have left that life behind, not posting on either account for several years now.
