Early Life and Education
There is very limited information regarding Bryan Chatfield’s life before his rise to fame in the political sphere. It is known that he was raised in Washington, D.C. by his parents and has been interested in politics at a young age. After matriculating from high school, he enrolled at Colby College. The school was founded in 1813 as the Maine Literary and Theological Institution and was later renamed to Colby College named after Christian philanthropist Gardner Colby.
It is a private college located in Waterville, Maine that houses over 1,800 students from more than 60 countries. The school is located in a 714-acre campus atop Mayflower Hill overlooking downtown Waterville. They compete in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) and the Colby-Bates-Bowdoin Consortium. According to US News & World Report, they are tied as the 18th best liberal arts college in the country.
Sanders began his political career shortly after completing his college education, serving under the 46th governor of Kansas Samuel Valley Brownback as one of his staff. During his time there, he worked as a press assistant to the governor until 2008, when he was promoted to become campaign manager for his presidential run. He helped him during his bid for presidency but seeing strong competition, he eventually backed out from the race. Sam later became the United States Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom in 2018. After Brownback backedg out, Sanders then started working for Mike Huckabee in his bid for the presidency during 2016. However, he also moved aside and instead becoming a strong supporter for Donald Trump.
He’s also worked for other politicians as a campaign manager and political consultant. He worked for French Hill who is the US Representative for Arkansas’s second congressional district, a position he’s held since 2014. He also served in the same capacity for Edward Scott Pruitt who was the 14th Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), holding that position from 2017 to 2018. He was nominated to the position by Trump and was confirmed by the Senate in a 52-46 vote. Other personalities he’s worked with include Dan Apostle, River Franks and Lynn Foumart, all of whom are Republican.
Wife – Sarah Huckabee Sanders
After the election of Donald Trump, Sarah was named as the deputy White House press secretary of the new administration. She stood in for Press Secretary Sean Spicer numerous times, and later became a strong candidate to replace him. During her time under the administration, she’s been known to be a strong defender of Trump, accusing the media of spreading fake news against the President. She became highly involved in the FBI investigation into possible Russian collusion during the 2016 elections, as a vocal supporter of Trump.
She was also responsible for the suspension of CNN’s Jim Acosta after a verbal argument with Donald Trump, releasing a video of Acosta supposedly engaging an intern beside him physically, a video which was heavily criticized as it was doctored. In 2019, Trump then tweeted that she would be leaving her role as Press Secretary. During her tenure, it is known that she gave rise to the Red Hen restaurant controversy – while dining at the restaurant, she and was asked to leave the premises by the co-owner, due to her support of Trump. She then used her publicity and political power to denounce the restaurant, a move that was criticized by numerous political officials as well as media personalities.

They married two years later, and now have three children together – their family resides in Arlington, Virginia. While he has worked with a lot of political companies, he recently set his focus towards working with other groups. He’s been hired by Fortune 500 companies for media and message development.

One of the reasons there is very little information about Bryan Sanders is due to the lack of any strong online presence. He held a Twitter account which followed the political sphere for a long period of time and grew to over 7,000 followers, but he eventually stopped posting sometime in late-2018 without much of an explanation. The same cannot be said for his wife, who has led a very public life especially after her appointment by Trump to the Press Secretary position. He’s been exposed to a lot of political names throughout his career, though still prefers to keep his privacy and that of his children.
