Cryaotic (CryWasTaken) Wiki Biography
Cryaotic – real name unknown – was born in New York City, USA, on 11 June 1989, so under the zodiac sign of Gemini and holding American nationality. He was formerly called ChaoticMonki, and is popular for his YouTube channel on which he mostly uploads Let’s Play videos.
Early life and education
In one of his videos entitled “Dead Night with Cry and Russ 6/21/14 Part 6”, he mentioned that he is of mixed ethnicity including German, Italian, Irish, Cherokee, Scottish, and French – nobody knows how that looks as Cryaotic hasn’t showed his face online. He hasn’t shared anything about his early life with the public and nothing is known about his parents or siblings. It is said that he had quite a normal childhood, and grew up playing video games.
It is said that he matriculated from a local high school in New York, but then decided to focus on his YouTube career rather than to enroll at college and pursue a degree.
Career of a YouTuber
Cryaotic’s career began on 14 March 2006 when he launched his YouTube channel, which now counts nearly three million subscribers and almost 500 million views of all his videos combined – the channel mostly contains Let’s Play videos of indie, adventure, and horror games, while Cryaotic also sometimes reads short stories and internet tales in his videos.
Besides his own videos, Cryaotic is popular for collaborating with other YouTubers – one of the most popular YouTubers he has worked with is PewDiePie, who currently runs the second most subscribed channel on YouTube. One thing which sets Cryaotic apart from most other YouTubers is that he becomes the character he plays in the game, thus making it more interesting for his watchers – an example of that would be when he yelled ‘Honey! There’s a head in the toilet!’ or ‘Honey, you’re creeping me out! Why did I marry that woman’, while he was playing a horror game.
Cryaotic is also very active on the Twitch platform, and his channel currently counts nearly 800,000 followers and many views on his 205 videos combined.
He is currently hosting the “Late Night with Cry and Russ” live stream with his friend Russ Money and others, which can be seen every Saturday night at 11 p.m. on his Twitch channel and lasts for approximately eight hours. The crew call themselves “The Late Night Crew” or LNC and is made-up of Cryaotic, Russ, Scott Jund, and Snake.
Gathering the fans
Cryaotic has also gathered a lot of fans due to his so called ‘angelic’ voice and ‘sweet’ personality, and most of these fans are female, of course. The girls seem to have loved it when he read the love story between him and Russ Money, his friend, in his “Hangover Cure” video, as the number of his subscribers rose rapidly.
Another reason why fans like him is because he takes time for them as well, and doesn’t behave as a ‘popular’ person. He takes half an hour every day just to sit down and read the messages from his fans, and responds to as many as he can.
Cryaotic’s face and mystery surrounding it
Cryaotic is also unique in another way – although he has shared his location and a few personal details with the public, he has never mentioned his real name or shown his face during any of his videos.
There’s been a lot of debating as to whether or not Cryaotic should show his face – some people would like to see how he looks, while others would prefer to maintain the mystery. However, Cryaotic doesn’t enjoy being asked to show his face, and whenever he sees a comment asking him to show himself, he either ignores it or becomes angry.
The currently best depiction of Cryaotic’s looks came from his friend Scott, who stated that Cryaotic weighs 300lb, has blonde hair, and is a Viking who has four arms and three nipples.
How did he come up with Cryaotic nickname?
In response to a fan asking Cryaotic how he came up with the name, he explain how he was playing “Call of Duty” shooting game as a kid, and noticed a guy (maybe a girl) with a nickname Cryaosin – he liked the name and started using the nickname for his “World of Warcraft” character. He was called ChaoticMonki before that, so he combined the two nicknames and got Cryaotic – voila!
Personal life and relationships
During one of his videos entitled “Cry Talks: Fish Answers” he explained that his sexuality is pan-sexual, meaning that he can be dating both males and females, and only cares about the person’s personality.
It has not been confirmed by the YouTuber, but his fans state that he had a girlfriend for over half a year, but has recently broke-up with her. Another version has him with a steady girlfriend since 2010, named Cheyenne Avila, also a ‘Twitcher’ – which story is correct, if either, is yet another mystery in his life, but one which may be deciphered in time. Still, he hasn’t been married, and doesn’t have any kids.
Fanmade pictures of Cryaotic
Cryaotic has never shown his face during his videos which made the people draw numerous pictures of him. There is a special kind of these pictures called “The Crys” which represent the changing Cryaotic’s moods – he would often change his personality based on the mood he is in, his emotional state or the character he is playing. Based on that, the fans have made numerous small personality pictures of him, including Mad and Virus, which are represented as evil and cold types of Cryaotic.
There are three personas Cryaotic most often changes into:
- MadCry in which Cryaotic wears a bloody mask while his mouth are opened and are showing his sharp teeth. It is considered to be the evil version of Cryaotic and is often depicted fighting the real Cryaotic – when he is this kind of persona, he begins killing NPCs in games with violent methods and laugh as a mentally ill patient would laugh.
- VirusCry is the second most popular Cryaotic mood – it is a mysterious personality quite similar to MadCry but has blue color scheme instead of red and Cryaotic’s mouth are closed although the teeth can still be seen.
- DrunkCry is the latest Cryaotic’s persona to have been discovered – this persona appears only when Cryaotic gets very drunk and starts livestreaming. This persona can be seen during his last two gameplays of the “Rules of Rose” game.
Appearance and net worth
Cryaotic is currently 29 years old. He has never shown his face during his videos so the public does not know how he looks but we do know that he wears glasses as he has once stated that ‘looking through a cleaned pair of glasses is like HD’, and we know that he has blue eyes and doesn’t have brown hair (as he stated during one of his videos as well).
According to authoritative sources, Cryaotic’s current net worth is estimated to be over $500,000 and is slowly rising thanks to his YouTube channel which is his main source of income, while the other two are his Twitch channel and his own merchandise which he sells online.
