Early Life, Education, and Acting Beginnings

There is very limited information regarding Derek’s life prior to his rise to fame as an actor. He has not shared information about his childhood and family. It is a sitcom which follows a man in his 20s whose life changes drastically after a one-night stand leaves a baby at his doorstep. He decides to raise the baby girl alongside his brother and two close friends. The show is inspired by the film “Three Men and a Baby”, and aired for a total of six seasons.

Around the same time, he also starred in the web series entitled “Project SERA” which was created after a short film was aired under the same name. The series is inspired by “Resident Evil”, and follows two protagonists as they try to stop a black market sale of a dangerous biological agent that was originally designed to help soldiers recover from their wounds on the battlefield.

In 2015 Derek starred in the film “Shark Killer”, which was made available through digital download. He also worked on the film “How Sarah Got Her Wings” which was released through video during the same year. His next project would be a parody entitled “Chicago Sanitation” and the following year, he worked on the family movie “Secret Summer”. On YouTube, he was cast in the short “Princess Rap Battle”, playing the role of Huntsman, and in 2017 he continued his string of independent and short films with “Brotherly Love”.

During the same year, he was cast in an upcoming series entitled “New Warriors”, which is based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name. He was set to play the role of Mister Immortal, however, it was announced in 2018 that the show would no longer air and has since been in limbo, looking for other networks to support it. A few of his latest projects include “Ninjak vs. the Valiant Universe”, a web series based on the Valiant Comics characters of the same name. He also appeared as a guest in “American Gods” playing the role of Donar the Great.
