Rise to Fame
In 2012, Provost-Chalkley made her film debut in the thriller “The Seasoning House”, which was filmed at a disused air force base near London, then made a guest appearance in the sitcom “The Midnight Beast”, which features the comedy band of the same name and most of the songs from their debut album. She subsequently landed a role in the hit Marvel film entitled “Avengers: Age of Ultron”, the sequel to “The Avengers”, and the 11th film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), playingd the character Zrinka, a native of Sokovia who was trapped during the final attack of the villain Ultron. She appeared alongside an ensemble cast featuring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, and many more.
The following year she had a role in the drama series entitled “Murdoch Mysteries”, which is about a police detective based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada at the turn of the 20th century, and is based on the “Detective Murdoch” novels written by Maureen Jennings.
Wynonna Earp and Recent Projects
During the same year, Dominique gained one of her most notable roles in “Wynonna Earp”. The supernatural Western series is based on the comic book series of the same name by Beau Smith, and stars Melanie Scrofano as the titular character, a daughter of the legendary lawman, who battles revenants, outlaws whom her father killed. She also fights other supernatural threats using her special Peacemaker revolver. Dominique plays the role of Wynonna’s sister who assists her in her local police role. The show has been running for three seasons with a fourth season set to air. However, financial difficulties have led the fourth season to be delayed.
Simultaneously she did other projects, including “The Carmilla Movie”, a film based on the web series of the same name, adapted from the 1872 gothic novella “Carmilla” written by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu. She also made a guest appearance in the series “12 Monkeys”, which is loosely based on the 1995 film of the same name, and features three characters as they take advantage of time travel to stop the plans of an organization called the Army of the 12 Monkeys. The characters are re-imagined versions of Brad Pitt, Bruce Willis and Madeleine Stowe from the original film.
For her personal life, it is known that Provost-Chalkley was in a relationship with Max Milner in 2012, but the relationship ended and the following year she began a relationship with Lego Champ which did not lasteither. Since then, she has been reported as single and there have not been any names linked to her romantically. Many sources believe that she is focused more on the development of her acting career above anything else, although there is a possibility that she is in a relationship, but is keeping everything under wraps for now. Some rumors have gone around that she is also interested in romantic relationships with women, but it has never been confirmed.
