It is also an NBC affiliated station serving the Bluefield, Beckley, and Oak Hill market in West Virginia. She stayed there for another two years before moving to Fox Charlotte in 2006 as a news reporter as well as an anchor.

Eva continued to record achievements as a reporter, covering various national events such as the Pope’s visit to the US. She also covered the Indiana State Fair stage collapse, when a gust from an approaching thunderstorm caused the temporary roof structure of the stage to collapse, killing seven people. She also covered the 2017 Amtrak Cascades derailment, which led to the train crushing automobiles with three people dying in the accident. Another event she covered heavily was the Sago Mine disaster, which was a coal mine explosion in Sago, West Virginia, and is considered one of the worst disasters in the state, trapping 13 miners, with only one survivor after the rescue efforts.
