Before they were released from the hospital, military police accused them of being Israeli spies, but fortunately the State Department, the US embassy in Cairo, as well as Egypt’s embassy in Washington confirmed their identities and secured their release.

    Like the author in this piece and other similar biography tribune.com biographies consistently uses the word “matriculate” as though it is a graduation event. Actually, it is an enrollment event.
