One of Sara Waisglass’ most notable roles was as Francesca ‘Frankie’ Hollingsworth in the Canadian teen drama series “Degrassi: The Next Generation” (also known as “Degrassi”). Sara reprised her role as Frankie in the spin-off entitled “Degrassi: Next Class”, seen in 37 episodes during 2016 and 2017. She followed with her guest roles in “The Good Doctor” (2017), and “Suits” (2018) before she landed the role of Lyla in the series “Holly Hobbie”, which aired between 2018 and 2022.
Sara appeared in 18 episodes of this musical family drama about the girl Holly, a singer-songwriter who wants to save the world. The show had 47 award nominations and five wins, with Sara and the rest of the crew receiving a nomination for the Joey Award for Best Television or Web Series Ensemble.
Concurrently, Sara was cast to play Maxine Baker in the comedy-drama “Ginny & Georgia”, starring Antonia Gentry, Brianne Howey and Felix Mallard. Sara was seen in 20 episodes between 2021 and 2023, and is her most recent TV appearance.

Sara made her big-screen debut playing Tracey in the 2008 mystery thriller “Afterwards”, starring John Malkovich, Romain Duris, and Evangeline Lilly. She was next cast to play a High School Girl in the 2015 drama “Life”, inspired by the true story of a photographer of Life magazine hired to shoot photos of the legendary James Dean. Later that year, Sara reprised her role as Frankie Hollingsworth in the TV movie “Degrassi: Don’t Look Back”.
She followed with her role as Chanel in another TV movie, “Holiday Joy”, in 2016, then in the following year, Sara landed the role of Robyn in the drama “Mary Goes Round”, which was her first lead role. She starred opposite Aya Cash and Jess Salqueiro in this story of Mary, who comes back to her hometown and finds out that her dying father has a teenage daughter, her half-sister, whom Mary has never met. In 2020, she was seen starring as Anna in the crime drama “Tainted”, followed by her role as Alex in the 2023 Netflix movie “Cascade”, also starring Greg Bryk and Joanna Douglas. This thriller followed the story of teenage hikers who stumble upon a crashed plane, full of drugs, not knowing that they will have to face a gang of drug dealers.

Sara’s personal life has been the subject of various speculations, and she was romantically linked to some of her male co-stars, however, Sara confirmed that those were just on-screen match-ups.
As she put it, her heart belongs to her high school friend, Jeremy Kellen. The two went to the same school, and he signed her yearbook wishing her a good summer, also saying that he hopes that they will keep in touch. They met again in 2019, and after a few dates, realized that they’d fallen in love.
Jeremy prefers to keep his personal matters private so not much is known about him, however, as of August 2023, the two are still in a relationship.
