He grew up with two older sisters and an older brother on a farm near the small country town of Kyneton. At an early age he discovered his passion for performing, and studied drama at school until he was asked to stop as teachers believed he did not take the classes seriously.
After matriculating from high school, he moved to Melbourne to study for an engineering degree, but decided that it was not the path for him, and transferred to La Trobe University, starting a Creative Arts course. He also found himself an agent, and began his acting career by working on several short films and plays, while also participating in various university productions. Some of his work during this time included “Tale from Vienna Woods”, the low budget horror film entitled “Dead Harvest”, and an appearance as an extra in the soap opera “Neighbours”.
Rise to Fame
While working on “Angels with Dirty Faces”, Morley caught the attention of casting directors who were looking for cast members for the show “Home and Away”. He joined the cast in 2006 as Drew Curtis, and for his performance he was nominated for a Logie Award for Most Popular New Male Talent. Afterwards, he appeared in the celebrity singing competition series entitled “It Takes Two” in which he lasted for six weeks before being voted off. In 2008, he worked on the action drama series entitled “The Strip”, but which was cancelled due to low ratings.
During the same year, he appeared in the television movie “Scorched”, and was afterwards nominated for a Bachelor of the Year award by “Cleo” magazine. The following year, he starred in the play entitled “Palindrome for a Dead Poet”, before featuring in an episode of “Sea Patrol”. In 2011, he became the star of the thriller entitled “Road Train”, released in North America as “Road Kill”. His next project would be the soap opera “Neighbours” in which he played the love interest for James Mason’s Chris Pappas, making it the show’s first gay couple, taking a 10-week break from the show to work on the film “Blinder”. A few of his latest projects include the show “The 100” as Bellamy Blake, and an appearance in an episode of “Winners & Losers”.
Philanthropic Work
In 2015, Bob tweeted a T-shirt design he produced to raise funds for the organization beyondblue, which aims to provide support for the mental health of Australians. Two years later he designed another shirt, which was aimed at helping the JED Foundation in the prevention of suicide, and the protection of emotional health.
During the same year, he worked with fellow “The 100” cast mates to participate in a soccer match held in Vancouver, Canada, which benefitted the BC Children’s Hospital; other Hollywood stars and Whitecaps Alumni also participated to support the charity. His fans have also set up the charity called Bob Morley Fans Charity Project, auctioning-off signed merchandise they get at conventions, and donating the proceeds to several organizations, including the Brain and Behavior Research Foundation, ALCU, and the JED Foundation.

For his personal life, it is known that Morley was in a relationship with actress Jessica Tovey in 2007 but their relationship only lasted for a year. His next notable relationship was in 2014 when he started dating Jane Gosden, however, their relationship also ended within a year. In 2018, it was confirmed through an Instagram post that he was in a relationship with actress Arryn Zech, revealing that the two of them have been together for some time. According to reports, the two were first spotted together at the 2016 Space Walkers Con.
