Popular American meteorologist Jen Carfagno was born in Collegeville, Pennsylvania USA on 19th of July 1977. She is one of the most famous faces of The Weather Channel, and a co-host of the ‘’Weekend View’’ show alongside Erik Fisher.

Jen grew up in the small town of Collegeville with her parents and her siblings, apparently dreaming of being a pilot.
In 1994 she matriculated from Perkiomen Valley High School, where she was pronounced as one of the best lifeguards – she was provided with a psychrometer to measure dew points in swimming pools, the same instrument used in meteorology which also led to her further interest in the field. Due to her curiosity and the fact that southern Pennsylvania had shifting weather conditions, she pursued a career in meteorology, and in 1998 graduated with a degree in Meteorology from Pennsylvania State University.

Her career is connected totally to the Weather Channel, where she has been working ever since her career began. At first, she was behind the camera, gathering knowledge necessary for weather forecasting, then after a few years had the chance to appear in front of the camera as well.
Jen was an intern at the Weather Channel in 1998, and after completing her one-year internship, she was hired as a full-time employee, participating in the on-screen meteorologist apprentice program.
Jen worked for ‘’Weather Underground’’, a commercial weather service which provides real-time weather reports, mainly through the Internet.
