Kevin Selleck Wiki: Age, Childhood, and Education

Kevin Selleck was born in 1966 in the USA; he is the son of Jacqueline Ray and her lover, who goes by the last name Shepard.

Jacqueline never revealed anything more about Kevin’s biological father, and once she married Selleck, there was apparently no reason to so. Tom adopted Kevin and gave him his last name; though Jacqueline and Tom later divorced, Kevin remained on good terms with Tom and is close to Hannah Margaret Selleck, Kevin’s step-sister from Tom’s marriage to Jillie Mack and he also has a half-sister from his mother’s remarriage to Clarence Barry Witmer, named Umeko.

Kevin was a troubled teenager, so turned to sports, which resulted in a volleyball career while at university – after high school Kevin enrolled at the University of Southern Carolina. Unfortunately, there is no information as to whether he finished his studies, but though the reports state that he developed a drinking addiction when he was in his early 20s, he had hardly finished his studies. He entered the Betty Ford Center when he was 22 years old, which helped him overcome his alcohol addiction.

Kevin joined the rock band Tonic in 1993, and alongside the original members Emerson Hart, Jeff Russo, and Dan Rothchild. He remained in the band until 1996, when he had an altercation with another band member and decided to leave.

He worked on the band’s debut studio album “Lemon Parade”, released in 1996, which reached No. 28 on the US Billboard 200 chart, while it peaked at No. 12 on the Australian Album chart. Subsequently Kevin started his own band, but without any major success, and since then he has been away from the media.
