Early Life and Education

Of very mixed ancestry, Margo has German, Swiss, Norwegian, English, Irish, Danish, Scottish and French elements in her family background. She is fourth child of five, with two older sisters and an older brother, and a younger brother. She spent her first 12 years in La Costa, San Diego County, then moved with her family to Orange County, California. While living in La Costa, Margo went to La Costa Heights Elementary School and after the move to Orange County, she continued her education at Hewes Middle School and then at Foothill High School, where she attended the same dance classes as Shia LaBeouf.

Career Beginnings

From, Margo became interested in acting at an early age, and other performing arts such as dancing. Her grandmother got her into a beauty pageant when she was only two years old, then from the age of three she was already doing gymnastics, and at five she was a pianist, and at eight got her own manager and became an actress.

Acting Debut and Success

Margo actually made her debut on screen in 1997, as an 11-year-old portraying Jolie in the family comedy film “The Elf Who Didn’t Believe”, starring next to Sean Donnelly and Rich Mann. She then waited for three years for her next appearance, but it paid off, as she was chosen for the part of Tawny Dean in the Disney Channel series “Even Stevens”. The role made her extremely popular with young viewers, and she steadily built a name for herself. She then starred in the sitcom “Run of the House” (2003-2004) on WB, next to Joey Lawrence, Kyle Howard and Sasha Barrese, and as her name spread across Hollywood, Margo was chosen for the part of Gina in the comedy film “Fellowship” in 2005, her first big screen role. After this first film role, Margo decided to pursue her career on big screen, and was soon cast in the lead female part in the horror thriller “Simon Says” (2006), co-starring next to Crispin Glover and Greg Cipes. The same year, Margo also starred in the critically acclaimed drama film “Hiding Victoria”, portraying the titular character, next to Anita Gillette and Michael Wiseman, among other stars.

These roles benefited Margo’s net worth too, as well as bringing her to the notice of producers and directors, as well as the public. In 2012, Margo was chosen for the part of Alex Jensen in the TV comedy series “The Big Bang Theory”, and appeared in four episodes of the highly-acclaimed series throughout 2012 and 2013. However, some information about her relationship status has come to light, so, Margo is currently single, however, back in the early 2000s she was in a relationship with the noted actor Chris Marquette from 2003 until 2005. Margo seems to be now entirely dedicated to her career in the world of entertainment.

Internet Popularity

Not a big fan of the internet and social media on the whole, Margo has still managed to acquire a decent following on social networks, primarily Twitter and Facebook – her official Facebook page has more than 15,000 followers, while her Twitter account, though not active since 2013, has around 12,000 followers. Not bad for someone who doesn’t like sharing personal information with the rest of the world. However, Margo shared an interview with Jake Newton, which is available on the sharkbrainpodcast.com.
