The Wealth of Nick Wright
How rich is Nick Wright? As of early-2019, sources estimate a net worth that is over $1 million, earned largely through a successful career in sports broadcasting. He’s been active in the industry for many years and has been featured by sports publications as well. As he continues his endeavors, it is expected that his wealth will also continue to increase.
Early Life and Education
While his specific place of birth is not known, it is known that Nick grew up in Kansas City. Very little information is available about his childhood. His father was a firefighter who was the president of the Kansas City Firefighters Union at one point. His mother on the other hand worked as an attorney for the law firm Shook, Hardy, & Bacon. His parents stayed together until sometime in the 2000s when things broke down and they divorced. His father later married a second time.
Growing up, he watched and enjoyed a lot of sports, particularly the Kansas City Chiefs which is a professional American Football team and a member of the National Football League (NFL); he attended a lot of games with his family and has become a lifelong fan of the team. After matriculating from high school, he enrolled at Syracuse University located in New York State, studying for a degree in broadcast journalism.
Sports Broadcasting Career
Wright began his broadcasting career while still a student at university, initially with the radio station WAER 88.3 FM as a host. The station is located on the campus of Syracuse, and is known for its National Public Radio format as well as its features of jazz music. After completing his education, he went to work with KCSP 610 AM located in Kansas City, as a production assistant. The station is focused on sports radio, and is one of the oldest in the Kansas City metropolitan area.
He gained a lot of experience, and eventually started his own show entitled “What’s Right with Wright”. He did not stay long after, however, and moved to the Houston-based station KILT 610 AM where he would gain more opportunities, and became the host of the show “In the Loop with Nick and Lopez” He stayed there for the next four years, and was then hired by Fox Sports, the sports broadcasting division of the Fox Broadcasting Company established when the company gained broadcasting rights to NFL games. Fox Sports is known for broadcasting numerous high profile championship games of various major sports organizations.

He then became the co-host of “First Things First”, a talk show that began airing on Fox Sports 1 (FS1) in 2017, continuing to work on the alongside Cris Carter and Jenna Wolfe. While working with Fox, he has continued to express his support for the Kansas City Chiefs, even vocalizing his frustration with the team’s loss against the New England Patriots, which is one of the strongest teams in the league in terms of their winning record.
Personal Life and Social Media
For his personal life, it is known that Nick is married to Danielle Wright. They met in 2007 when, according to him, he was at the lowest point of his life, as he was depressed and felt like he was going down the wrong path. He asked her out, but it proved an unusual setting as he met her alongside her two children from a previous relationship. This did not deter him however, as the two stayed in a relationship and eventually married in 2013.
He adopted her two children and they would have a child of their own. He mentions often that his family is one of the reasons that he changed his life and that they saved him, and gets emotional when he talks about his family’s support for him.
Similar to numerous sports broadcasters, he is highly active online through the use of his accounts on major social media websites on Twitter and Facebook. He mainly promotes some of his recent television appearances, and expresses his opinions on current sports events – his accounts often post similar content.
