Early Life and Band Formation

Despite Remington’s fame alongside his band, he has declined to share a lot of details regarding his family, childhood, and education. He became interested in a music career at an early age, wanting to make it big as a band. At the age of 14, he formed the band called Kropp Circle alongside several friends. The group was formed in Toronto and started performing locally, leading them to gain a feature on Radio Disney as The Next Big Thing.

The radio network is known for their programming oriented towards pre-teens and teenagers, with a heavy emphasis on current hit music. Three years after their formation, the band members decided to have a change of image and name, renaming themselves Palaye Royale – the name was taken from the Toronto dance hall called Palais Royale. They released their first single shortly afterwards, entitled “Morning Light”, and then a six song Extended Play (EP) in 2013.
