Rosamund Pike was born on 27 January 1979 in London, Great Britain, the only child of opera singers Julian Pike and Caroline Friend. While she was still studying at Badminton School, she played the lead in “Romeo and Juliet” at the National Youth Theatre, and an agent who was seeking young talent noticed her, and helped her with her first steps in the acting career.
