Who is Riele Downs?
Canadian actress Riele Downs was born under the zodiac sign Cancer in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on 8 July 2001. She has 26 acting credits, and is perhaps known best for playing the lead character Darby Harper in the 2022 fantasy comedy movie “Darby and the Dead”, which also starred Auli’I Cravalho and Chosen Jacobs, and was directed by Silas Howard. It follows Darby who suffered a near death experience early on in life, and is now capable of seeing ghosts; the movie won a 2011 PAGE International Screenwriting Award for Best Comedy Script.

Riele was raised alongside her sister Reiya in Toronto, by their mother Elle Downs and father whose name remains undisclosed. Both Reiya and Elle are also actresses; Reiya has 19 acting credits, and is perhaps known best for playing Shaylynn ‘Shay’ Powers in 30 episodes of the romantic series “Degrassi: Next Class”, while Elle has 47 credits, and is probably known best for portraying Newscaster in the 2013 comedy movie “The Best Man Holiday”. Because Riele’s yet to speak about her father in public, it’s widely believed that he wasn’t around while she was growing up; it’s been reported that the man’s name is Scad, but Riele’s yet to confirm this.
