Trieste enrolled at the School of the Arts, University of the North Carolina at Chapel Hill, from which she graduated, majoring in theatre. She later continued her schooling, and earned her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Arizona State University in Tempe.

Career

Although her first acting experience dates back to her early age of 14, when in 1995 she appeared in an episode of the TV mini series “Marriage”, Dunn’s acting career actually began in 2003 while she was still attending UNC, when she appeared in couple of student’s short movies. In 2004 she made an uncredited appearance in the thriller movie “Mysterious Skin”, while her ‘real acting’ debut occurred in 2005 when she appeared in the action drama movie “Little Chicago”.
