Who is Carolina Miranda?

Mexican actress Carolina Miranda Olvera was born in Irapuato, Guanajuato, Mexico, on 25 June 1990, making Cancer her zodiac sign. She has just 13 acting credits and is perhaps known best for starring as Elisa Lazcano in all 25 episodes of the popular 2022 crime mystery series “Who Killed Sara?” (original “¿Quién Mató a Sara?”), which also starred Gines Garcia Millan and Manolo Cardona, and was created by Jose Ignacio Valenzuela. It follows Alex who’s trying to prove that he didn’t kill his sister – the movie won one of its nine award nominations.

Carolina’s currently shooting for new episodes of the series “Tierra de Esperanza”.

Education and early life

Carolina was raised in Irapuato by her parents about whom she’s yet to speak in public, because she respects their privacy; her father’s believed to be the owner of a carpet cleaning business, and mother housewife. Carolina’s yet to speak about whether or not she has siblings, and most of her fans believe that she’s an only child.

She studied at a local high school in Irapuato and fell in love with acting during her time there; Carolina was also passionate about dancing and singing, and enjoyed playing volleyball with her peers.

Carolina’s debut TV series role was playing Delfina Rey Ortuna ‘Fina’ in a 2012 episode of the romantic drama “Los Rey”, then the year 2014 saw her play Fabiana Bravo an episode of the romantic drama “Las Bravo”.

From 2016 through 2019, Carolina starred as Vincenta Acero in 239 episodes of the romantic crime drama “Lady of Steel”, which also starred Aurora Gil and Wayne LeGette, and follows ‘bastard daughter’ Vicenta Rigores Acero aka La Coyote who’s struggling to become the new Senora Acero; the series aired from 2014 through 2019 and won one award.

Concurrently, in 2016, she played Marilupe in two episodes of the drama “Un dia Cualquiera”, which starred Alberto Casanova and Camila Rojas, and the year 2018 saw her play Sofia in the episode “Alma, Vida y Corazon” of the action adventure mini-series “Heredadas”.

The year 2019 saw Carolina appear in both the mystery science fiction thriller “Dani Who?” and the comedy “Claramente”, and in 2021 and 2022, she starred as Isabel Aguilar in all 80 episodes of the drama “Malverde: El Santo Patron”, which also starred Mark Tacher and Pedro Fernandez, and follows orphan Jesus Juarez who’s now grown up, and has become a Mexican Robin Hood during the Mexican Revolution; the series was nominated for only a single award.

In 2022 and 2023, Carolina played the lead character Natalia Vallejo in all 26 episodes of the drama “La Mujer del Diablo”, which also starred Jose Ron and Adriana Louvier, and follows the life of school teacher Natalia;

In 2023, she starred as Camila Roman in all 10 episodes of the romantic thriller “Fake Profile”, which also starred Rodolfo Salas and Manuela Gonzalez, and was created by Pablo Illanes; it follows Camila who’s created a profile on the online dating app Spice, but has now been dragged into a world of sex, deception and lies.

Carolina’s only other TV series role has been starring as Maria Teresa Arteaga in all 45 episodes of the 2023 drama “Tierra de Esperanza”, which also starred Andres Palacios and Luis Roberto Guzman, and follows the lives of members of a wealthy family now that their patriarch’s been sent to jail.

Roles in movies

Carolina’s appeared in only one movie: she played Bicha in the 2023 comedy “Infelices para Siempre”, which starred Consuelo Duval and Adrian Uribe, and was directed by Noe Santillan-Lopez. It follows Alfredo and Maria Jose who are about to celebrate their 20th marriage anniversary, and their children have paid for their trip to the same hotel at which they had their honeymoon; however, a spell has been cast over the two and they are now re-living the same day over and over again.

From August 2016 through February 2019, she was in a relationship with Mexican actor, screenwriter and director Michel Duval; he has 14 acting credits and is perhaps known best for starring as Leo in the 2019 action mini-series “Puno Limpio”. The reason behind their split remains unknown, but there are rumors circulating the internet claiming that Michel wanted to marry and Carolina didn’t.

Since 30 April 2021, Carolina’s been in a relationship with Manuel Masalva, a Mexican actor with 12 credits to his name, probably known best for playing Ramon Arellano Felix in 12 episodes of the critically acclaimed crime drama “Narcos: Mexico”.
