However, their union was short-lived and lasted for two years, their divorce being finalized two years after their separation (2002) – Miner subsequently told the media ‘At the end of the day, marriage was a choice made with our hearts, not our heads.’ Culkin’s spokesman, Paul Bloch, told ABC News that their separation was friendly, and that they remained on good terms after their divorce. It is rumored that one of the main reasons why Culkin and Miner broke up was because their parents were against their union.
In 2000, Miner had a brief romantic affair with her “Bully” co-star, the late American actor, Brad Renfro, who made his movie debut at the age of 12.
