Who is Isaiah Russell Bailey?
American actor, model and social media star Isaiah Russell-Bailey, was born under the zodiac sign Sagittarius on 9 December 2006, in Los Angeles, California USA. He has 11 acting credits, and is perhaps known best for starring as Caleb in the 2023 adventure science fiction movie “Crater”, which also starred Billy Barratt and Mckenna Grace, and was directed by Kyle Patrick Alvarez. It follows a boy from a lunar mining colony whose father’s just died, and who’s now decided to explore a legendary crater together with his four best friends; the movie was nominated for a 2023 Golden Trailer Award for Best Family Film.

Isaiah’s being raised in Los Angeles as an only child, by his father Howard Bailey Jr. who’s a businessman, and mother Brittany Perry-Russell who’s also an actress, and has appeared in 35 movies and TV series, while she’s perhaps known best for playing Red Lightning Fury in the 2020 action comedy movie “We Can Be Heroes”.
Isaiah’s mother often took him to her movie sets while he was growing up, and this was how he fell in love with acting; even though he expressed his desire to act at a very early age, his mother wanted him to focus on his education before he would pursue a career in the film industry. He was 11 when he made his debut TV series appearance, portraying Young Kevon Winter in the 2018 episode “Miasma” of the crime mystery “Criminal Minds”, which stars A. J. Cook, Matthew Gray Gubler and Kirsten Vangsness, and was created by Jeff Davis. It follows the members of the Behavioral Analysis Unit working for the FBI, the series has been airing since 2005, and has won 24 of its 59 award nominations.

In 2018, Isaiah played Young Malachi in two episodes of the drama “Giants”, which starred James Bland who also created the series; it follows the lives of three friends, and the series won 17 of its 50 award nominations. The year 2018 also saw Isaiah appear in an episode of both the crime action adventure “S. W. A. T.” and the family comedy “Raven’s Home”.
In 2020, he portrayed Shaka McKellan in the episode “Family Reunion: Remember the Family’s Feud?” of the family comedy “Game On!” A Comedy Crossover Event”, and the year 2021 heard him voice Rover in the episode “Alien Movie Stars” of the animated family adventure “Super Wings!”, which stars Chasden Gilson-Walker, Hudson Loverro and Luca Padovan, and was created by Gil Hoon Jung back in 2015. The series follows the adventures of jet planet Jett, and has been nominated for four awards.
Most recently, from 2019 through 2021, Isaiah starred as Shaka McKellan in 35 episodes of the comedy “Family Reunion”, which also starred Anthony Alabi, Tia Mowry and Talia Jackson, and was created by Meg DeLoatch. It follows the lives of members of the McKellan family who’ve just moved to Georgia from Seattle, and the series won four of its 19 award nominations.
Roles in movies
Isaiah’s appeared in only three movies besides “Crater”. His debut was portraying Justin in the 2018 family comedy “Throwback Holiday”, which starred Rhyon Nicole Brown, Robert Ri’chard and Jennifer Freeman, and was directed by Trey Haley. It follows Jacqueline who’s dissatisfied with her life, especially with her marriage, and has now miraculously travelled back in time to her high school days.
In 2019, Isaiah portrayed Shaka McKellan in the family comedy “A Family Reunion Christmas”, which starred Talia Jackson, Anthony Alabi and Tia Mowry, and was directed by Robbie Countryman; it follows the McKellan family as they’re spreading joy during Christmas holidays.
Isaiah’s only other film role has been playing Rewind in the 2020 action comedy “We Can Be Heroes”, which starred Priyanka Chopra James, Pedro Pascal and YaYa Gosselin, and was written and directed by Robert Rodriguez. It follows the children of superheroes who have to save Earth now that their parents have been captured by alien invaders, and the film was nominated for a 2021 Austin Film Critics Association Award.

Isaiah was featured in the 2020 short documentary film “ACA Dreams Being Young Gifted & Black”, and the 2021 TV special “9th Annual Celebrity Backpack Virtual Celebration”.
