Along with her husband, Lisa own numerous clubs, bars and restaurants, in Los Angeles as well as in London. As she continues her endeavors, it is expected that her wealth will also continue to increase.

Early Life and Entertainment Beginnings

Lisa grew up in London, and at a young age developed a love for acting, leading her to take drama classes. In the 1970s, she made her film debut in “A Touch of Class” in which she played the daughter of Vickey Allessio which was played by Glenda Jackson. She later appeared in the film “Killer’s Moon”, a horror film written by Alan Birkinshaw, then over the next few decades, worked on television programs mostly in guest or recurring roles.

Some of the projects she had during this period included “Silk Stalkings” and “Baywatch Nights”, in which she played the character Margo Curtis. She also appeared in numerous music videos during the 1980s, including “Mantrap” and “Poison Arrow” by the group ABC, and “(What) In The Name of Love” by Naked Eyes.

Business Career and Return to Television

Eventually Vanderpump ventured more into business, and strayed away from acting for a while, focusing on designing London-based bars as well as restaurants which she owned alongside her husband. They would eventually open 26 bars and restaurants, and later opened four restaurants in California which would be featured in her reality television projects later on. She also authored the book “Simply Divine: A Guide to Easy, Elegant, and Affordable Entertaining”, and she also worked as an editor and contributor to the magazine “Beverly Hills Lifestyle”.

In 2010 she returned to television, making her reality series debut as a part of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”, one of the original cast members of the show. The series is the sixth installment of “The Real Housewives” franchise, following the personal and professional lives of several women residing in the Beverly Hills area. She continued on the show over the next few years, while also working on a spin-off program created three years later called “Vanderpump Rules”. The series follows her employees who work in the West Hollywood restaurants SUR and Pump, tackling their future as well as the drama that occurs in the workplace on a regular basis.

Later Career and Philanthropy

While working on several shows, Lisa also competed during the 16th season of “Dancing with the Stars” in which she was partnered with professional dancer Gleb Savchenko. However, her run on the show was short as they were the second couple to be eliminated from the competition, ending her run at 10th place. In 2015, she launched a line of luxury pet accessories, again with her husband, with a percentage of profit from every accessory bought donated to the Vanderpump Dog Foundation. The following year, she launched her own line of emojis called “Vandermojis”, while in 2017 she was promoted to editor-in-chief of the “Beverly Hills Lifestyle” magazine.

She is also a known supporter of the organization Keep Memory Alive, which is dedicated to promoting awareness of various neurological disorders, including Parkinson’s, Huntington’s and Alzheimer’s diseases, and Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or ALS. She also collaborated with various LGBT organizations, and received an Ally Leadership Award from Equality California in 2015. During the same year, she organized a protest march against the Lychee and Dog Meat Festival, which lead her to create the Vanderpump Dog Foundation, dedicated to ending the torture of dogs. She also hosts the World Dog Day event, which generates crowds of thousands of people with their dogs.
