Who is Michael Bolwaire?

American actor, dancer and model Michael Bolwaire – aka Bolo the Entertainer – was born under the zodiac sign Taurus on 30 April 1988, in Cleveland, Ohio USA. He has seven acting credits, and is perhaps known best for portraying Doc in 37 episodes of the popular romantic crime series “All the Queen’s Men”, which today stars Racquel Palmer, Skyh Black and Eva Marcille, and was created by Christian Keyes in 2021. The series follows the life of a pimp drug lady, who’s ready to kill whoever stands in her way.

Education and early life

Michael was raised in Cleveland alongside his sister, by their father and mother about whom Michael hasn’t shared many details because he respects their privacy. Their professions and names remain undisclosed, but it’s believed that his mother’s a high school teacher and his father an entrepreneur.

He was physically quite active while studying at a local high school, as he played a number of sports with his peers, while he also wrestled and ran track; he was 16 when his parents enrolled him at dance school, and he’s today a member of an all-male exotic dance group, with which he performed in the reality show “Vivica’s Black Magic”.

In 2017, Michael reprised his role as Bolo in the drama “Chocolate City: Vegas”, which starred Mel B, Michael Jai White and Vivica A. Fox, and was once again written and directed by Jean-Claude La Marre. It follows the exotic dancers from the mentioned male strip club as they’re trying to win a national stripper competition and its $500,000 award, as to save their club from foreclosure.

The year 2018 saw Michael portray Trainer in the romantic drama “Kinky”, which starred Skyh Black, Sarodj Bertin and Obba Babatunde, and was written and directed by Jean-Claude La Marre; it follows a shy and single doctor as he’s balancing love, religion and work, as well as his passion for BDSM.

Michael’s only other movie role has been playing Bolo in the 2022 drama “Chocolate City 3: Live Tour”, which starred Sarodj Bertin, Cassandra Bautista and Alex Ajuwon, and was written and directed by Jean-Claude La Marre. It follows the male strippers as they’re travelling and performing around the US.

Roles in TV series

Michael’s appeared in only two other series besides “All the Queen’s Men”.

In 2018, he portrayed Off Duty Cop in the episode “East Coast, West Coast” of the critically acclaimed biographical crime mini-series “Unsolved: The Murders of the Notorious B. I. G. and Tupac”, which starred Wavyy Jonez, Bokeem Woodbine and Josh Duhamel, and which Kyle Long created. It follows the investigations following the murder of Biggie Smalls and Tupac Shakur: the mini-series won one of its five award nominations.

The year 2021 saw Michael play Big Frank in the episode “Aretha: No One Sleeps” of the hit biographical historical drama “Genius”, which stars Antonio Banderas, Seth Gabel and Samantha Colley, and was created by Noah Pink and Kenneth Biller back in 2017. It follows ‘the life stories of history’s greatest minds’, and the series has won eight of its 75 award nominations.

Other credits

Michael was featured in the 2017 episode “Vivica A. Fox/Hot Topics” of the not-so-popular talk-show “The Wendy Williams Show”.

From 2012 through 2021, he appeared in three episodes of the reality show “The Real Housewives of Atlanta”, which was created by Scott Dunlop back in 2008, and today stars Kenya Moore, Cynthia Bailey and Kandi Burruss. It follows the lives of several women from Atlanta, and the series has been nominated for seven awards.

Michael was involved in a controversy in 2020 when he attended the bachelor party of Cynthia Bailey; it’s been reported that several women had sex together at the party, and that two women had a threesome with Michael, but none of this has been confirmed. Michael’s also denied these rumors on his social media accounts.
