Visitor was born in New York City into a family of performers, with her mother Nenette Charisse a ballet teacher, and her father Robert Tucker, a choreographer. She is also the neice of Cyd Charisse, an actress and a dancer. No other information is available regarding Visitor’s childhood and early education.

Visitor’s career started in the ‘70s, acting in the Broadway production of “My One and Only.” She later on debuted on film in the 1977 horror flick “The Sentinel,” and later on television, appearing in various soap operas including “The Doctors”, “Ryan’s Hope”, and “One Life to Live.” Her early years as an actress helped establish her career and also her net worth. Visitor decided to take a break from television and movies in 2001, and joined the cast of the Broadway production of “Chicago” playing the role of Roxie hart. Not long after, she once again bagged a memorable role when she became part of the series “Wildfire,” as Jean Ritter, one of the main characters, which lasted for three years, and furhter helped her career as well as her net worth.
