Who is Niko Terho?
Barbadian actor, personal fitness trainer and social media star Niko Terho, was born under the zodiac sign Aquarius on 3 February 1996 in Barbados. He has five acting credits, and is perhaps known best for portraying the lead character Harry Turpin in the 2020 romantic comedy film “The Thing About Harry”, which also starred Britt Baron and Jake Borelli, and was written and directed by Peter Paige. It follows two high school enemies who now have to drive a long distance together, and the film was nominated for a 2021 GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding TV Movie.
Education and early life
Niko was raised alongside his sister Nikita in Barbados, by their Barbadian mother Suzanne and Finnish father Jukka Terho; not many other details have been disclosed about Niko’s family because he respects their privacy, while it’s known that they’re deeply religious and went to church together at least once a week.
Niko studied at a local high school and was passionate about multiple activities during his time there as he enjoyed playing soccer, running track and appearing in school plays; he was 16 when he went to the gym for the first time, and he instantly fell in love with exercising.
Niko matriculated in 2014, and then enrolled at college, from which he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 2018.
Acting career
Niko launched his acting career in 2019, when cast to star as Andy in the short drama movie “Howard”, which also starred Amanda Joy, J. D. Brookshire and Justin Senense, and was written and directed by Zorinah Juan; the film follows the real life story of gay Mormon men Ben and Kimo, who were in a relationship for three decades prior to one of them dying from cancer.
Niko made his debut TV series appearance in the same year, playing Ethan in the episode “Sec or Demi-Sec” of the drama “Sweetbitter”, which starred Evan Jonigkeit, Tom Sturridge and Ella Purnell, and was created by Stephanie Danler. It follows a young woman who’s begun working at a restaurant, and the series won one of its two award nominations. In 2020, Niko portrayed Jeff in the drama “Sno Babies”, which starred Michael Lombardi, Paola Andino and Katie Kelly, and was directed by Bridget Smith. It follows a 16 years old teenager who’s addicted to heroin, and is trying to hide this from her family.

The year 2022 saw Niko play Dr. Lucas Adams in the episode “Everybody’s Got Something to Hide Except Me and My Monkey” of the romantic action series “Station 19”, which stars Grey Damon, Jason George and Jaina Lee Ortiz, and was created by Stacy McKee. It follows the lives of men and women working at Firehouse Station 19 in Seattle, Washington State – it’s been airing since 2018, and has won seven of its eight award nominations.
His only other acting credit has been portraying Dr. Lucas Adams in 20 episodes of the popular romantic medical drama “Grey’s Anatomy” since 2022. The series was created by Shonda Rhimes back in 2005, today stars Ellen Pompeo, James Pickens Jr. and Handra Wilson, and follows a group of nurses and doctors working at a hospital; the series has won 87 of its 334 award nominations.
Niko’s active on several social media networks, and over 120,000 people are following him on Instagram today, while he’s posted 73 pictures and videos; most of his content shows him during his everyday life, whether he’s swimming in the ocean, working out at the gym or spending time with his sister.
Although not active on Twitter, Niko’s allowed for his fan page to be launched and it’s today followed by only 60 people, while it numbers 83 posts; the page was launched in December 2022, and its most recent update was on 13 August 2023.
Niko’s recently launched his TikTok account, onto which he’s yet to post any content; he’s nevertheless followed by a few over 2,300 people on the network.
Love life and relationships
Niko prefers to keep the details of his love life to himself, and because he’s yet to mention the girls whom he’s perhaps dated, some of his fans have started rumors on the internet which concern his sexual orientation and current relationship status. Some of Niko’s fans believe him to be gay, claiming that the popular actor wants to keep this away from media because of how it might affect his career, but Niko’s yet to address this.
There are also those who believe that he’s today dating a non-celebrity Barbadian girl, as some have claimed to have seen Niko and his girlfriend kissing in public, however, no evidence has been provided to support these claims.
Niko seems to be unattached as of October 2023, hasn’t married and doesn’t have children.

Niko’s physically highly active as he goes to the gym every day, while he also loves to go hiking, swimming and canoeing; he often shows off his muscular body in his Instagram pictures and videos.
