Who is RonReaco Lee?

RonReaco was born in Decatur, Illinois USA, on 27 August 1976 – his zodiac sign is Virgo, and he holds American nationality. He’s an actor, film producer and director, while he’s perhaps still known best for his portrayal of the supporting character Reggie in the 2005 romantic comedy movie “Guess Who”. It was directed by Kevin Rodney Sullivan, starred Ashton Kutcher, Bernie Mac and Zoe Saldana, and follows Theresa who has brought her boyfriend Simon to meet her parents, and to announce that they’re engaged; the movie was nominated for 16 awards.

Early life and education

RonReaco was raised in Decatur by his father and mother, about whom not a lot is known because he respects their privacy; it’s said that his mother was a theatre actress, and that his father was a real estate agent.

Even though RonReaco hasn’t spoken of having any siblings, it’s believed that he was raised alongside an older brother.

He was around six years old when he became interested in acting, after having watched his first movie in the cinema with his parents. RonReaco went on to appear in various plays performed at his elementary school as a member of the school’s drama club, and he was 11 when his parents began taking him to auditions. He made his debut film appearance aged 13, when cast to play Busboy in the 1989 drama “Unconquered”, and RonReaco has since been highly active in the film industry, having appeared in more than 50 movies and TV series.

He moved to Los Angeles, California when he was 14, and there attended a local high school, from which he matriculated in 1994; he then chose to focus on acting, rather than pursuing a college degree.

Roles in movies

RonReaco first gained recognition in 1989, when he portrayed Mute Drummer Boy in the critically acclaimed biographical historical drama “Glory”, directed by Edward Zwick, and which starred Matthew Broderick, Denzel Washington and Cary Elwes. It follows the life of Robert Gould Shaw, who led the first black volunteer company during the US Civil War; the movie won 17 awards, including three Oscars for Best Sound, Best Cinematography and Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Denzel Washington), while it was nominated for 18 other awards.

A couple of RonReaco’s following movie roles were in the 1997 comedy “How I Spent My Summer Vacation”, the romantic drama “Fire & Ice” and the crime thriller drama “Jacked” both in 2001.

The year 2004 saw him play Ben in the musical drama “Killer Diller”, written and directed by Tricia Brock, and which starred Lucas Black, William Lee Scott and Fred Willard; it follows a car thief and an autistic pianist, who have founded The Killer Diller Blues Band. Some of RonReaco’s other notable performances in the decade were in the 2007 romantic comedy drama “Americanizing Shelley”, the 2008 comedy “Man of Your Dreams”, and the 2009 crime comedy drama “Madea Goes to Jail”.

He had only a couple of roles in the 2010s – three of his most recent appearances in movies have been in the 2018 thriller “Running Out Of Time”, and in 2020 action the crime comedy “Coffee & Kareem” and the comedy “2 Minutes of Fame”.

Roles in TV series

RonReaco made his debut TV series appearance in the 1992 episode “Cool Winter Blues” of the drama “I’ll Fly Away”, while he became famous for his portrayal of Tyreke Scott, one of the lead characters in the popular family comedy “Sister, Sister”. It was created by Kim Bass and Gary Gilbert, also starred Tia Mowry-Hardrict and Tamera Mowry-Housley, and follows twin girls who were separated at birth, and have now reunited as teenagers; the series aired from 1994 to 1999 and won 10 of the 30 awards for which it was nominated.

RonReaco went on to appear in an episode or two of various series in the 2000s, with some of the most popular amongst these having been the comedy drama “Boston Public”, the comedy “Do Not Disturb” and the comedy “Chocolate News”.

In 2010, he was cast to play Julius Brown in the action comedy “The Good Guys”, created by Matt Nix, and which starred Bradley Whitford, Colin Hanks and Jenny Wade. It follows two police detectives who are working together, but who are exact opposites; the series was nominated for two awards.

RonReaco is also known for his portrayal of Jamal Woodson in 52 episodes of the comedy “Let’s Stay Together”, created by Jacque Edmonds, and which starred Bert Belasco and Joyful Drake; it tells the story of several couples navigating their ‘modern’ relationships, aired from 2011 to 2014, and won one of the two awards for which it was nominated. He then starred in “Survivor’s Remorse” through 2017, and some of RonReaco’s most recent roles in TV series have been in the 2018 romantic drama “The Quad”, the comedy “First Wives Club”, and the musical drama “Queens” both in 2021.

Other credits

RonReaco directed the 2018 short drama movie “A Father’s Love”, and he’s currently producing the upcoming comedy movie “If It Isn’t Love”.

He has made a guest appearance in a couple of talk-shows, including “The Mo’Nique Show”, “Know Your Heritage: Black College Quiz”, and “The Real”.

RonReaco prefers to keep the details of his love life away from the media’s attention, but it’s still widely known that he’s today a married man.

He exchanged vows with non-celebrity American Sheana Freeman on 13 June 2010, in a large ceremony attended by many of their friends and family members; Sheana is a model, entrepreneur and social media personality. They have two sons together, Bryson Lee and Jaxon Lee, but RonReaco and Sheana are keeping their boys away from the media’s attention, so not even their birthdates are known.

Neither has spoken of any other people whom they have perhaps been with, so as of June 2022, RonReaco’s married to Sheana, and they have two sons together.

Hobbies and other interests

RonReaco seems to be enjoying the attention which he’s receiving from his more than 100,000 Instagram followers, and is thus quite active on the network; he’s uploaded more than 500 pictures, the majority of which have been taken during his everyday life.

He’s physically quite active, and has four to five training sessions at the gym every week, mostly because it’s important for his acting career to stay in shape; RonReaco’s also following a strict diet, meaning that he avoids eating fast food.

He’s a lover of animals, and has a pet dog.

RonReaco has his own favorite actors and actresses, some of whom are Will Smith, Al Pacino and Meryl Streep, while a couple of his favorite movies include “Independence Day”, “Scent of a Woman” and the trilogy “The Godfather”.
