Who is My Skarsgård?

My Sonja Marie Agnes was born in Kalmar, Sweden, on 3 July 1956 – her zodiac sign is Cancer, and she holds Swedish nationality. She’s an actress, TV personality and physician, but perhaps known best for being the former wife of famous Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgård.

My has been staying away from the media’s attention since her and Stellan’s divorce in 2007.

Early life and education

My was raised in Kalmar by her parents, about whom not a lot is known as she respects their privacy; it’s said that her father was the owner of a used car dealership, and that her mother was a housewife. Because My hasn’t spoken of having any siblings, it’s believed that she’s an only child.

She grew up wanting to become a nurse, and thus focused on her studies; My was amongst the best students at her high school, and was interested in a couple of activities during her four years there, including acting with its drama club and dancing.

Upon matriculating in 1974, My enrolled at college, from which she graduated with a medical degree in 1978.

My’s career

My has been working as a physician for around three decades now, however, there are rumors circulating the internet claiming that she’s recently retired, but these haven’t been confirmed.

She has a single acting credit: in 1987, My played Mother in the family adventure comedy movie “Jim & Piraterna Blom”, written and directed by Hans Alfredson, and which starred Johan Akerblom, Ewa Froling and Jan Malmsjo.

It follows Jim whose father has just passed away, but who comes from time to time to tell Jim about his adventures in the afterlife.

My has made a guest appearance in an episode of various talk-shows, such as “Efter Tio”, “Nemo Moter en Van” and “Breaking News med Filip och Fredrik”.

Love life and marriage with Stellan

My met Stellan when they were still both kids, as Stellan had spent some time living in Kalmar, and they began dating in the first half of the ‘70s. They exchanged vows in 1975, in a private ceremony attended by only the closest of their friends and family members; My was 19 at that time, while Stellan was 24.

My and Stellan have six children together. Their eldest son Alexander was born on 25 August 1976, followed by Gustaf on 12 November 1980 – both have since become successful actors.

On 5 June 1982, My gave birth to their third son Sam, and their fourth son Bill followed on 9 May 1990; their only daughter Eija was born on 27 February 1992, and My lastly gave birth to their fifth son Valter on 25 October 1995.

My and Stellan’s divorce was finalized in 2007, and while she hasn’t spoken of any men whom she has since perhaps been with, it’s known that Stellan exchanged vows with Megan Everett in January 2009, and they have two sons together.

As of April 2022, My seems to be single, was married to Stellan Skarsgård, and has six children with him.

Hobbies and other interests

My’s a philanthropist and has contributed to various charity organizations, mostly to those that work with underprivileged children, but she’s also a huge animal lover, and has donated money to several animal shelters.

My’s favorite hobby is perhaps travelling, and she has been to many European countries, as well as to a couple of US states.

She was physically quite active in her 20s and 30s, as she often played various sports with her friends and had several training sessions at the gym every week, however, it seems that My no longer works out.

She’s a fan of Hollywood movies – her favorite actor and actress are Jim Carrey and Emma Watson, while a couple of her favorite films include the franchise “Harry Potter”, “Bruce Almighty”, and “Yes Man”.

Age, height and net worth

My’s age is 65. She has long brown hair and green eyes, her height is 5ft 5ins (1.65m) and she weighs around 130lbs (60kgs).
