He is also known for being a member of the American Meteorological Society (AMS). He still works his dream job, although he is in his 60s.
Early Life and Education
Dallas spent his childhood in Georgia, where he was raised by his father, Riley Gene Raines, and his mother, Sybil Jeannette Hambrick. Regarding his education, Dallas was a student of earth science and broadcast journalism at Florida State University, from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Meteorology. Later, from 1998 he taught Meteorology courses at California State University, Northridge at the geography department.

Thanks to his skills and previous experience, Dallas started working at KABC-TV, based in Los Angeles, California, in the position of a meteorologist, and was later promoted to the position of a weekend evening anchor.
