In 1985, he debuted in the movie “Hot Chili” playing the role of Jason, and the following year appeared in the movie entitled “Night of the Creeps” playing the character of Brad. In 1986 Kayser received a big career break, when he joined the hit television series “Mama’s Family”, playing the role of Mitchel “Bubba” Higgins from 1986 to 1990, for which he even received a nomination from the Young Artist Award for the Best Young Actor Guest Starring in a Drama or Comedy Series.
