His first feature film in South Korea would be “Seducing Mr. Perfect”, and soon afterwards he starred in “My Father”, which won multiple awards, actually the first foreigner to sweep all the major cinema awards in the category of Best New Actor. In 2009, he appeared in the Hollywood film “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”, in which he played Agent Zero or Maverick as in the comics – the film is based on the Marvel Comics character Wolverine.

Later Acting Work
After appearing in the television drama “Three Rivers”, Daniel returned to South Korea to star in the film “The Fugitive: Plan B”, alongside Lee Na-young, before resuming his career in the US, appearing in numerous television shows. In 2015, he became the star of “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders” – a spin-off of “Criminal Minds” – playing the role of Special Agent Matt Simmons, however, the show would only last for two seasons before it was cancelled. In 2017, he was cast in the voice role of Tadashi Hamada in “Big Hero 6: The Series”, a role he reprised in the 2014 animated film “Big Hero 6”, which is based on the Marvel Comics of the same name.
