Luke grew up in Dayton; his father is a Pentecostal pastor, and he attended Dayton Christian High School, matriculating in 2002. During his time there, he discovered his passion for acting, and so moved to New York City to enroll at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts to study acting. After completing his studies, one of his first film roles would come in the 2006 project entitled “All the Boys Love Mandy Lane”. The horror film stars Amber Heard and Michael Welch with a plot focusing on high school students inviting an attractive outsider to spend the weekend in a secluded house, which leads them to be followed by a killer.
