In 2011, she took a part in a few more notable projects, including a guest appearance in “Gossip Girl”, as well playing Nicole in the film “I Am Number Four”, which is a science fiction film starring Alex Pettyfer and Timothy Olyphant, based on one of the “Lorien Legacies” science fiction novels.

In 2012, Emily became a part of the film “Gone”, playing the role of Molly Parrish in the film which is a mystery thriller starring Amanda Seyfried, but was unsuccessful at the box office as well as with critics. Despite that, Emily would soon land her best known role in 2013, when she was cast during the 11th season of “NCIS” as Eleanor “Ellie” Bishop.
