Early Life, Family, and Education

The daughter of Jill and Mark Ramsey, Laura spent her childhood in her hometown and attended Laconia High School, located in Rosendale Wisconsin. Upon matriculation in 2001, Laura enrolled at Ripon College, but soon after figured out that her desire to become an actress was greater than her will to study. As a result, Laura moved to Los Angeles at age 19.

Career Beginnings

Once in Los Angeles, Laura found a job as a waitress in a restaurant located on Sunset Boulevard, then during one work day, she was noticed by a talent agent who arranged an audition for her the very next day. She made her on-screen debut in the documentary “The Real Cancun”, about students from various universities as they have a good time in Mexico’s resorts. The following year, Laura was cast as Natalie Day in the TV drama series “The Days”, while in 2005 Laura had a minor role in the sports drama film “Lords of Dogtown”, starring Heath Ledger, Emile Hirsch and Victor Rasuk.
