Early Acting Career

Prada made her acting debut with the role of Judy in “Day’s Eye” in 2008, and followed by portraying Winnie in the short film entitled “A Handful of Dust”. In the following period, the talented actress continued with support roles, but most importantly, in 2015 played the main character in “Benjamin Troubles”, a story about urban magic that follows the main character, as he finds jeans that magically produce $100 every hour.  The movie, in which she was opposite Manu Intiraymi, received a generally positive response from the audience, being rewarded with four awards such as Bonehead Award and Jury Prize. Following this project, she played Angela in “There Is a New World Somewhere” in 2015.

Latter Acting Career

In the following year, the actress had her most prominent projects, firstly working on “Tell Me How I Die”, a thriller movie about a group of college students who take part in a clinical drug trial which gives them horrifying visions of their own deaths. As the group tries to escape their fate, they discover that the killer is among them and also has the ability to foresee the future. In the same year, she had yet another project, starring in “Fear the Walking Dead: Passage”, a TV  series nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards, which focuses on the story of survivors of a zombie apocalypse who stick together in order to survive the subsequent events, but which received a mediocre response from audiences. Prada then had two minor projects, before in 2018 landing the role of Emma in “Vida”, a series in which she collaborated with actors such as Melissa Barrera, Ser Anzoategui, Chelsea Rendon and Carlos Miranda. Overall, Mishel has had 13 acting gigs so far, and no doubt there are more to come.

Controversial Scenes

Mishel is widely known for speaking out about her nude scenes in one of her most important projects, “Vida”. The actress stated that she was hesitant to join the cast when she read that nude scenes were required for her character, adding that “women are taught to be exploited for their bodies”, but the producer of the show, Tanya Saracho convinced her that her sex scenes could be a powerful example of female empowerment. Eventually, Mishel said “It’s not always comfortable, but it’s really exciting to be part of something to help women shed that repression.”
