Early Life, Family, and Education

Taylor is the daughter of Deborah Quinn and was raised by her mother and step-father Shawn-Christian; there is no information about her biological father. Growing up, Taylor started playing volleyball, and once in Mirabeau B. Lamar High School, she became a part of the Junior Olympics volleyball squad. In addition, Taylor also started modeling.

Career Beginning

During her high school years, Taylor signed a contract with the Los Angeles agency Nous Models Management, and started doing commercials for various brands, which helped her get the first feel of being in show business. However, she would gradually lean towards acting, and the first time a chance appeared for Taylor to start as an actress, she used it.

Acting Career

She returned home for a brief time, and her step-father, Shawn Christian, helped her secure the part of Erika Spalding in the TV series “Summerland”, and together they co-starred in the series until 2005, when it was canceled. This show certainly helped kick-start her acting career, and in the next few years she honed her skills with parts in films and TV series such as “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” in 2006, then a minor role in the action crime-drama film “Loaded” in 2008, and in 2010 her first starring role was as Shade in the horror film “The Violent Kind”, next to Cory Knauf and Bret Roberts.

With the role of Shade, Taylor’s acting career saw her become more popular as an actress, which resulted in higher profile roles, portraying Vicky Roberts in the crime-drama mystery series “The Event” (2010-2011), while in 2012 she was Jennifer Starke in the highly-acclaimed action crime-drama series “The Glades”.
