Valeria Golino’s Early Life

Golino was born in Naples, Italy, and is of Italian descent through her father – a Germanist scholar – and Greek through her mother, Lalla, who was an artist. Golino grew up in a very artistic home but never dreamt of becoming an actress when she was young, initially wanting to become a cardiologist, but everything changed when she was 14. As a teen she started working as a model, travelling to various parts of the globe, and with her busy schedule, decided to drop out of school and focus on her career instead.

She then starred in “The Gold Rimmed Glasses” and “Three Sisters,” and was now catapulted to stardom, and she also significantly increased her net worth.
