Chuck Todd’s Early Life, Education and Early Career

Charles David ‘Chuck’ Todd was born on the 8th April 1972, in Miami, Florida USA, to Stephen Randolph Todd and Lois Cheri. He is of Jewish ancestry from his mother’s side, and was raised in the Jewish manner. Todd is of white ethnicity, while his zodiac sign appears to be Aries. After matriculating from Miami Killian Senior High School, Todd continued his education and in 1990 enrolled at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Although in 1994 he majored in political science simultaneously with a minor in music, he never graduated.

Todd began his career in 1992, when as a student, he dived into the world of politics by working for the Senator Tom Harkin’s presidential campaign, followed by a part-time job on the “The Hotline”, a daily political briefing aired by the National Journal. In the course of the next 15 years, Chuck managed to hone his skills, climb the professional ladder and eventually begin serving as the editor-in-chief of the “The Hotline”. During his six-years-long tenure, Todd also featured as the co-host of National Journal’s webcast show called “Hotline TV”. All these engagements were followed by his occasional guest appearances in political discussion shows and broadcasts, including CNN’s “Inside Politics” and MSNBC’s “Hardball with Chris Matthews”.

In March 2007 Todd left the “The Hotline” and joined the NBC. Serving as the political director of the “NBC News”, he also occasionally featured on several other discussion shows, such as “The Rachel Maddow Show”, “Morning Joe” and “NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt” to name a few, and also provided some political analysis for the MSNBC.com.

In December 2008, he was named as NBC News’ Chief White House Correspondent, and was subsequently appointed as the Contributing Editor of the “Meet the Press” broadcast. In early 2010, Todd also began co-hosting the MSNBC’s political news talk show – “The Daily Rundown”.
