He is Caucasian and he has brown hair and eyes. He was born into a family of Italian ancestry, to Salvatore and Rose Maniscalco. In 1998 he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his career, and began performing at open mics in bars and bowling alleys, concurrently to working as a waiter at the Four Seasons Hotel, located in Beverly Hills. He continued working at the mentioned place until 2005, when he began became a full-time performer at The Comedy Store in Hollywood. Beginning the new era of his career, Sebastian soon gained recognition among the audience.

Maniscalco made his debut in “Wild West Comedy Show: 30 Days & 30 Nights – Hollywood to the Heartland” in 2006, and followed by appearing in three episodes of “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” in the same year. As of 2007, he worked on “Sebastian Maniscalco: Sebastian Live”, his own TV special, which received a generally positive response from critics and the audience. In the upcoming period, the comedian worked on several smaller projects, such as “Lopez Tonight”, “Just for Laughs” and “Talking”. Maniscalco made his acting debut with the role of Dance Club Manager in “Complete Savages” in 2004, and followed by working on “The Very Funny Show” and “Pro-Semitism: Law”.
