Born into the family of an actress and a director, Emily Alyn Lind had a real chance to get into the entertainment industry from her young age. Being impressed by her mother’s auditions and rehearsals, Emily decided to follow her mother’s steps and became an actress. Let’s find out more about her age, net worth, current relationship status, etc.
Early life and family
Emily Alyn Lind was born on 6 May 2002, in Illinois, Chicago USA, under the sign of Taurus and holding American nationality. Her parents are John Lind, an assist director and producer, and Barbara Alyn Woods, a TV actress. They married in 1999 and gave birth to three daughters: Natalie, Emily and Alyvia, all of whom have been actresses from a very young age. Emily’s mother can be seen in such TV series as “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids” (1997-2000), “Married… with Children” (1987 – 1997), “Star Trek: The Next Generation” (1987 – 1994) and many others.
Emily’s father produced such projects as “Black Cadillac” (2002), “Kids vs Monsters” (2015) and “Tomboy” (2016). Both of her parents support their daughters in their choice of career, and help as much as they can to promote them to good TV series and movies.
Emily’s older sister, actress Natalie Alyn Lind
It is worth mentioning that Natalie, Emily’s older sister, started her career at the same young age as Emily did. Natalie was born on 21 June 1999 and debuted in the TV series “One Tree Hill” series (2005-2012) in 2005, playing Alicia. She can also be seen as Kayla Bennett in “Criminal Minds” (2005 – present), and in “Chicago Fire” (2012 – present), in the role of Laurel. Emily is in a good relationship with her older sister, they often spend time together, going for walks along with Natalie’s boyfriend, Aaron Cohen.
Emily’s younger sister, actress Alyvia Alyn Lind
Alyvia, Emily’s younger sister, didn’t wait too long to become an actress just as her older sisters. Alyvia was born on 27 July 2007 and was only four years old when she appeared for the first time in the TV series “Revenge”, playing five-year-old Amanda. Later she appeared in such series and TV films as “NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service” (2003 – present), “Transparent” (2014 – present) and “Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors” (2015) in which she played young Dolly Parton. As of 2019, the total list of Alyvia’s projects goes beyond 25, which is even more than her oldest sister, Natalie, has.
Educational background
As Emily worked as a child actress from her early childhood, it was quite hard for her to attend a local high school, so she enjoys the advantages of homeschooling, just as her younger sister Alyvia – she should matriculate in 2020.
Career
First steps in acting
Emily debuted on the silver screen in “The Secret Life of Bees” (2008), playing the kid version of Lily, the character played by Dakota Fanning. She’s also appeared in such classy TV series as “Days of Our Lives” (1965-2014), “All My Children” (1970-2011) and “Medium” (2005-2010). In movies, she’s played several younger versions of main characters in such as “Enter the Void” (2009) as little Linda, “Sundays at Tiffany’s” (2010) as young Jane, and “All American Christmas Carol” (2013) as Cindy. It took several years before Emily became old (or big) enough to play separate characters, not younger versions of them. She appeared as Ariel in the pilot episode of “Code Black” (2015 – 2018), then in “The Babysitter” (2016) and “Replicas” (2017). Emily’s total list of projects has over 35 films and series, including two more movies planned to be filmed in in 2019 and 2020.

In 2012 she was nominated for her work in “Prep & Landing: Naughty vs. Nice” in the category “Best Performance in a Voice-Over Role – Young Actress”. She also won Young Artist Awards for her work in the “Revenge” series in the category “Best Performance in a TV Series – Recurring Young Actress Ten and Under”.
Personal life, boyfriend Kai Caster
Even though Emily is still young, she already has a boyfriend named Kai Caster, born on 13 July 1999, and who can be seen in such series and movies as “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” (2000 – 2015), “Shameless” (2011 – present), and “American Horror Story” (2011 – present) in which he played William Banks with his on-screen father, Cuba Gooding Jr. Kia is also a model, signed to the IMG Models Worldwide agency.
Emily and Kai have been dating since 2016, however, nothing is known about the current status of their relationship, as they haven’t posted any mutual photos since 2018, probably keeping their relationship low-key. Kai can be find on Instagram, his account has almost 10,000 subscribers.
Hobbies and interesting facts
Emily likes spending time in the mountains, skiing and snowboarding, as they often go to various skiing resorts to spend some time in the close circle of her family. Her favorite actor is Keanu Reeves, and she even had a chance to work with him on the movie entitled “Replicas” (2017). Emily enjoys reading books – one of her favorite ones is George Orwell’s “1984”. She also likes travelling around the globe; she calls the Eiffel Tower in Paris the most beautiful place she has been to.
Charity
While working on the movie “November Christmas” (2010), Emily was seriously imbued with ideas of helping people in need, as she played Vanessa Marks, a young girl who had to fight cancer. While she was on the set, she made up a “love box” – a special box actually made of cardboard to raise some money for charity. She gathered so much money that she came with similar boxes to every set she worked after that, and by the end of each day they were always full. As of 2019, Emily is a charity activist, raising money for various foundations which help children and their families in the hardest periods of their lives. She is also an active member of the “Make-A-Wish” foundation, which helps children with rare, dangerous or life-threatening diseases, to make their wish come true, inviting celebrities and personalities such kids like, to cheer them up a little bit.
