Career Prominence and Other Projects
In 2006, Diaz was cast as the main protagonist of another teen telenovela, entitled “Lola…Erase una vez”, cast as the character Alexander Von Ferdinant. The show is an adaptation of the Argentine program “Floricienta”, a modern day Cinderella story also starring Eiza Gonzales, and created by Pedro Damian following “Clase 406”.
Two years later he debuted as a designer for the clothing brand Perra, which he also created, and then ventured towards a music career, releasing his first album entitled “Enamorate de mi” in 2009. Two years later he followed it up with a second album called “Aaron Diaz”. During this time, he appeared in the latest version of the telenovela “Teresa”, alongside Sebastian Rulli and Angelique Boyer which is a remake of the Mexican telenovela of the same name, playing the character Mariano, one of the main protagonists.
Aaron also released a calendar which consisted of original photos of himself also including his artistic designs. The popularity and success of the first calendar lead him to release another version for 2012.
American Projects
Aaron made his American television show debut in “Pan Am”, a period drama set in the early 1960s during the beginning of commercial jet flights, featuring pilots and stewardesses but the show was short-lived, being cancelled in the same year. Despite that, the show had international success and was even considered by Amazon for a second season. However, the producers were unable to reach a deal, leading to the end of the series. Afterwards, he had his first antagonist role in the telenovela entitled “El Talisman”, in which he played Antonio Negrete, also starring Rafael Novoa and Blanca Soto.
One of his latest projects is the 2016 series “Quantico”, in which he was given the recurring role of CIA recruit Leon Velez. The show focuses on Alex Parrish, an FBI recruit who becomes the suspect for a terrorist attack on Grand Central Terminal. The show focused on his efforts to prove his innocence while also giving flashbacks during the time he was at the FBI Academy.
