Early Life and Education

When it comes to speak about her early life, Katrina Law spent her childhood in Deptford Township, New Jersey, where she was raised by her father, who served in the US Armed Forces in the Vietnam War, and her mother, who was a bartender. Her interests in acting were developed very early, and her talent was spotted by her mother, who enrolled Katrina in various activities, such as karate, dance and voice coaching, among many others. All of these activities helped her to develop enough skills to later pursue her dream job. Moreover, at the age of ten she was cast in a Chinese film, in which she spoke Mandarin. Beside that, she was named the 1995 Miss New Jersey Teen USA, and was a member of The National Honors Society while in high school. Regarding her education, upon matriculation, she enrolled in The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey to study Marine Biology; however, she transferred to Theatre Arts after winning a role in The Chorus Line for Summer Stock Theatre. Right after graduation, she moved to Philadelphia and later New York City to continue her acting education.

Katrina’s professional acting career started when she landed a small role in the 2000 film “Lucky Numbers”, which was followed by her portrayal of Ursula in the film entitled “Bottomfeeders” (2001) and Francine in the film “Emmett’s Mark” (2002). In the following year, she featured as Kate in the TV film “44 Minutes: The North Hollywood Shoot-Out”, directed by Yves Simoneau. One year since I woke up after the funeral of a friend. I started this 365 Days of Celebration challenge because I was in pain. My heart just hurt. In 2007, she was chosen to portray Kate Wyman in the TV mini-series “The Rookie: CTU”, which lasted for a season, then starred in the role of Jenna in the film “Alpha Males Experiment”, which was followed by her portrayal of Jemma in the 2010 film “The Grind”. Her next major role came in the same year, when she won the roles of Garren in the TV series “Legend Of The Seeker” and Lana in the TV series “The Resistance”.

I still think this was Arrow's best episode and I am so proud to have been a part of it.
